Day Three - Dallas Trip
Published On: Dec 15, 2006
Breakfast & Shopping
Wake up and tame that ravenous belly at the Breadwinners Café with some lightly fluffed eggs and humongous muffins. Then it's time for some shopping in NorthPark. Whether you're looking for an 82 carrot diamond at Tiffany's, a pair of styling slacks at Banana Republic or just some spurs for clanging, there is shopping for all. If you still up for even more shopping, then head to Highland Park Village.
If you'd rather pursue other adventures, then check out the very first Six Flags ever built in Arlington. On the other hand, if thrills and rides just aren't your thing, then scurry on down to the Ft. Worth Stockyards National Historic District. First off, check out the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. Built by architect Tadao Ando, the building creates the illusion that it's floating right in the middle of the prairie.
Tex-Mex
No trip to Dallas is complete without some tasty Tex-Mex, and Forth Worth is the perfect place. At Joe T. Garcia's the scene is fun and inviting. On the menu, they've got fajitas, flautas, tamales, fresh guacamole, enchiladas and delicious salsas.
Nightlife & Entertainment
When the evening ensues, head to Deep Ellum. If you're into the club scene, then Club Clearview make up a total of five different clubs with everything from house DJ's to classic hits of the 80's. If you choose blues you can't lose with the Deep Ellum Blues bar. Or, the Double Wide Bar is always a hoot. Order a round of PBR's and check out the auto parts that adorn the walls.
